T2 · Tax filings
Your corporate year-end,
without the scramble.
We prepare your T2 corporate income tax return from reconciled books, make the year-end adjustments, and explain the result before anything is filed — including what you owe, when, and why.
This is for you if
- You own an incorporated business in Ontario or elsewhere in Canada.
- You recently incorporated and want your first corporate year-end done properly.
- Your T2 is late, or you are unsure whether it was ever filed.
- You want the bookkeeping and the corporate return handled by the same team.
Why it matters
A T2 is only as good as the books under it.
Corporate returns go wrong when they are prepared from books that were never reconciled, or when shareholder transactions, vehicle use and home-office costs are guessed at the last minute.
Because we prepare the books and the return together, the year-end is a review — not a reconstruction.

Preparation
What we’ll need from you
- Your corporation’s articles and business number
- Prior-year T2 and notice of assessment (if not the first year)
- Year-end bank, credit card and loan statements
- Details of shareholder withdrawals, deposits and dividends
- Information on assets bought or sold during the year
Documents are shared through a secure portal once we work together — never through the website form.
Good to know
- Filing deadline
- A T2 is generally due six months after the end of the corporation’s tax year.
- Payment deadline
- The balance of tax owing is generally due two months after year-end, or three months for certain Canadian-controlled private corporations that meet specific conditions.
- Even with no income
- Corporations resident in Canada generally must file a T2 every year, even if there was no activity or tax payable.

Questions
Corporate tax (T2): common questions
Can you file my T2 if someone else did my bookkeeping?
Yes. We review the books first. If they need work before a return can be prepared from them, we will tell you and quote that separately.
My corporation has never filed. What happens now?
We confirm which years are outstanding, prioritize the oldest, and give you a plan. Filing late is better than not filing at all.
Should I pay myself salary or dividends?
It depends on your personal situation, the corporation’s income and your goals. We walk through the trade-offs with you as general planning support — it is not a one-size answer.
