CRA · Recovery & support
A letter from the CRA
is a to-do list.
Most CRA correspondence is a request for information with a deadline. We help you read it calmly, understand what is actually being asked, organize the supporting documents and respond properly.
This is for you if
- You received a notice, review letter or request for documents.
- Your notice of assessment doesn’t match what you expected.
- There’s a balance, penalty or account issue you don’t understand.
- You’ve been putting off opening the envelope.
Why it matters
Silence is the expensive response.
CRA letters usually include a response date. Missing it can turn a simple documentation request into a reassessment. Responding with organized, complete documents is usually the fastest way through.

Process
How it works
- 01
Share the letter
Send us the notice securely. Please do not include your SIN in an ordinary email.
- 02
Review
We explain what it means and confirm the response deadline.
- 03
Gather
We give you a focused document list and organize what you provide.
- 04
Respond
We help prepare and submit a complete response, then track the outcome.
Preparation
What we’ll need from you
- A copy of the letter or notice (shared securely)
- The return or period it relates to
- Supporting records for the items in question
Documents are shared through a secure portal once we work together — never through the website form.
Questions
CRA support: common questions
Does a CRA letter mean I’m being audited?
Not necessarily. Many letters are routine review requests asking for receipts or explanations for specific items. We help you identify what kind of letter it is.
Can you talk to the CRA for me?
Where you authorize us through the CRA’s standard representative process and it is appropriate for the matter, yes. For legal disputes, we will recommend a tax lawyer.
